Why do we study Grammar in English?

Hi, I'm teacher Loren, and many students ask me every week: Why do we need grammar?

So, let’s talk about it in a simple way.

Grammar is how we put words together. It helps us make good sentences.

Without grammar: “you help can me?” → With grammar: “Can you help me?”

Grammar helps people understand you.

It’s like a map. It shows you the way to speak and write.

You don’t need to know all the rules. But grammar helps you:

For example: I eat pizza. → present (now)

I ate pizza. → past (yesterday)

With grammar, you show time, action, and meaning.

Let’s make grammar simple and useful. Here are some tips:

Learn with examples: She is happy. They are playing.
Practice every day You can do 5–10 minutes. That’s enough!
Use what you learn Try to make your own sentences. I like music. We go to school.
Don’t worry about mistakes Mistakes help you learn. Keep going!
Listen and read Songs, stories, and short videos are great for grammar!

Grammar is not the enemy. Grammar is our friend.
It helps you say what you think, feel, and need. It helps people understand you.
So, don’t be afraid of grammar. Use it, play with it, and enjoy the process!
